Forming technology

We offer a variety of forming technology processes. These are comprised of pressing, stamping, deep-drawing and the cold forming process. Therefore we offer pressing forces of between 400 and 32,000 kN (up to 7.200 mm table length). Our presses are strategically aligned and cover both the progressive stamping and transfer method for significant press bed sizes.

Forming technology

In the field of forming technology, our current range of components includes above all vehicle body components such as floors, running gear, and seat & vehicle body structures made of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. We work with steels for lightweight construction and high-strength steels for torsion-resistant connecting elements or D-parts both precisely and reliably. At the same time, the proportion of safety-related components is constantly increasing.

Joining technology

Our joining processes realize the most demanding assemblies in enormous quantities with the highest precision and strength. We rely on conventional welding processes such as MIG / MAG welding processes as well as on our laser welding technology with increasing capacity. Here we succeed in raising the joining of steel, high-strength steel, stainless steel and aluminium to a new level. The most demanding shapes, radii and contours can be maintained and components joined by laser welding with unprecedented precision, strength and uniformity.

Our many years of experience with all welding processes not only enable us to take charge of production process development, but also ensure high productivity and low failure rates. We increasingly rely on a maximum of automation in the form of fully automated robot spot welding systems, which we are able to realize thanks to intelligent solutions and well thought-out interlinking of individual process steps.

Toolmaking

From the development and construction of prototypes through to series production: a.i.m. all in metal GmbH is also your reliable and competent partner for cutting and joining toolmaking and fixture construction, and not just in the field of tube construction. High-precision systems and equipment form the basis for our resource-friendly series production of complex components and modules for our customers from the automobile industry.

Toolmaking

Besides our outstanding technical facilities with CAD/CAM workstations, in toolmaking it’s also the human element that’s the focus of our work and therefore of our success. In developing individual solutions on behalf of our customers, our specialists can profit directly from the expertise and experience of our colleagues from our own production and can channel these findings directly into the development and work processes.

Toolmaking

As in the field of toolmaking, in prototype construction our holistic approach is likewise reflected in our extensive solution-orientated range of services. From the already near-series components, we gather experience that we can incorporate into the series production process. We also produce small series at a reasonable price.

Our products

Our current range of components mainly includes body-in-white components which primarily refer to the automotive construction where the components of a body are joined using one or more different techniques such as welding, riveting, clinching or bonding. We are proficient in all relevant processes and are increasingly focusing on laser welding, spot welding and adhesive bonding.

Our products

Within recent years, we have been particularly focusing on highly safety-relevant body components, the most important connecting elements and structural components such as complete main floors, roof frames or rear floors. Within our supply chain, we map all processes relevant to production in-house, starting with the parent coil. In addition, we manufacture standard parts used throughout the industry.

Our products

Our product portfolio is completely independent to the drive type of the vehicle, which is why we already have a recognizably strong presence in the electromobility sector. The end of the combustion engine and the beginning of the age of electromobility also creates new paths and opportunities for us. The complexity of structural components and their importance for the driving performance of the vehicle will continue to increase. From this, we will create new ideas and bring them to life.
